Our Social Responsibility

A CULTURE OF POSITIVE SOCIAL IMPACT

At AerCap, we recognize that we have a responsibility to our people and to our local communities. We engage with the communities in which we live and work to bring employees together to help make a difference and inspire positive change.

Our CSR Committee is led by employees and has representation from offices across the company. The Committee oversees the selection of charitable and social themes, and charity partners, and the implementation of charitable donations and activities that are aligned to those chosen themes. A number of our charitable donations involve the matching of funds raised through employee team efforts for the benefit of local community projects.

OUR CHARITY PARTNERS

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT

AerCap is committed to supporting the next generation of industry professionals through educational programs. These programs provide a pipeline of diverse talent that will support the future growth and development of the aviation industry.

We are a sponsor of the prestigious MSc in Aviation Finance at University College Dublin (“UCD”) Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. The program involves lectures by some of our key personnel and an internship program which is provided by the company, giving graduates the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a range of disciplines.

In addition, we partner with Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, to provide scholarships to students of the International School of Engineering. As part of the program, we provide a range of tailored supports to students including guest lectures, internships and mentorship. In 2019, we established the Women in Aviation Scholarship with the University of Limerick. The program aims to create awareness amongst female students of Aeronautical Engineering as a career option and encourage more women to join the aviation industry.
